How to Measure Your Dog
Use a fabric or cloth measuring tape to measure your dog.
If you do not have one, use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler.

LENGTHMeasure along the dog's backbone from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. |

GIRTHMeasure the chest all the way around at its widest point – usually right behind the front legs. |

FEETTrace the outline of a front paw on a piece of paper. Make sure that your dog puts his full weight on the paw. Measure outline from the heel to the end of the toenails at their longest point. |
